capturing profiles not found

we are trying to capture video but after naming a project name and pressing ok it comes up with the error capturing profiles not found. have looked in options and have found nothing to set or reload capturing profiles. we reinstalled windows xp recently and am assuming it has something to do with this. thank you to anyone that has the solutio
