Capturing direct to VCR

Does anyone know if there is a way to record or schedule recording
directly from the ATI TV tuner to a VCR? I have a VCR connected to
the TV tuner card and want to schedule a recording that goes directly
to the VCR rather than recording to my hard drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming that your TV out goes to your VCR then no problem. Mine goes to
AV2, so I would set a timer on the VCR to record from AV2 at the right time,
and in MMC TV setup use Scheduler to create a new event "Watch TV" at the
right time and channel.
Just check your TV out is working in advance, and allow some time overlaps
in case.

(now getting the PC to wake from standby on demand is a more difficult...)

Thanks for the reply. I think I've got it figured out after messing with it
for a long time. I was trying to complicate things when really all I had to
do was go in to the VCR from the wall and then out to the TV tuner. I was
just using the hookup that came with the video card and not actually
attaching my cable from the wall to the VCR. Now I can just open the ATI
multimedia center, put it on channel 3, program the VCR and then close the
multimedia center. Basically just like I would with a TV/VCR connection.
Sorry I didn't think this through before I posted.

Thanks,

Barb
