Yes, using a number of software apps, including the screen capture feature
of the Windows Media Encoder... there's a link on my Setup > Other Software
page.
You can't do the capturing with Movie Maker but you can edit the video after
it's captured.

Yes you can. Download the Windows Media Encoder (free) from Microsoft....one of
the capture modes is called "Screen Capture"

There used to be a free program floating around the web called CamStudio.
With that you could capture a window, full screen, or a region to an AVI
file. Pretty cool. You should be able to Google it...
Take a look at my website and the FAQ Delete Dross. It has a demo video of how
Delete Dross works. It was captured with Microsoft Media Encoder....the results
are excelent
