Can't visit windowsupdate.microsoft.com

I've been having some XP Pro problems lately and I've re-installed XP a few
times now. The other problems I had persist but now I've noticed I can't get
windows updates. I wonder if SP2 needs to be installed to be able to go to
windowsupdate?? Does that make sense? Having re-installed XP means that XP
is not up to date but I can't go to the site for updates. Other PCs on my
network can connect so the site is up. It's just this PC which has problems.
I've also reinstalled IE a few times as well. Any ideas? Thanks.
