Can't View Workgroup Computers

I have two Windows XP PCs connected via a D-Link Wired / Wireless Router.
Both PCs have the same workgroup name. The Router is connected to the
Internet throught a Broadband Cable Modem, and both PCs are able get on the
internet. The first PC, a Desktop, is connected to the Router by a Cat 5 LAN
cable and the second PC, a laptop, is connected by a D-Link PCMCIA Wireless
card. When "View Network Computers", from "My Network Places" is clicked on
the Desktop PC it brings up both PCs, but when the same is clicked on the the
Laptop I get an error message stating that I may not have administrative
rights. Both PC have only one user, and each user has full administrative
rights.

Any thoughts would be helpfull.

Thanks

Ted

Ted,

Browser problems like this are generally caused by one of several possibilities.
# Registry setting restrictanonymous.
# Misconfigured / overlooked firewall.
# Browser conflict.
# Non-activated Guest account?

Check restrictanonymous on each computer.

Look for any misconfigured or overlooked firewalls. What antivirus products do
you use?

Diagnose a browser conflict by running "browstat status" on all computers.

Make sure the Guest account is properly activated on each computer, if this is
either XP Home, or XP Pro with Simple File Sharing.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" for each computer,
and some details about your network, here.
