Can't view Sent Items folder following upgrade to 2003

The outlook.pst file is where it is supposed to be (227 Mb size if that is
relavant!) but won't load. Tried scanpst.exe but that can't read it either.
Running XP Prof & no Scandisk option.

Any advise?

Define "won't load". What error message(s) do you get and when do you get
them?
 
Hi Brian

The error message is:
"Unable to display the folder C:\Document and Settings\..... \Outlook.pst."

I have checked & the file is where the application is looking for it.

Move the file to another folder and start Outlook. When it complains,
browse to the location where you moved it and see if you can open it there.
 
Thanks. Now I get the message "Unable to access the folder... File is in use
and could not be accessed. Close any application that is suing this file &
try again"

There are no other applications running on my stand alone PC which access
the .pst.
