Can't view microsoft sites properly

Since I got my Dell Dimension 4600 last month, I've never
been able to view any Microsoft sites properly. E.g.,

I can't see the MS knowledge base other than titles, though
I discovered the info is there, it's just HUGE type, like
one letter to the screen (if I scroll I can tell this).

No web page fills the screen; it's only about 2/3 of the
screen, even when aLl the frames are displayed.

At MS games sites, I can see the words, but not the icons
for the games.

At my ISP's home page, I can't see the left frame, though
if I run the cursor over it, the words will appear briefly.

I'm running Mozilla now, which at least lets me see the
type on the screen. (My eldest is a big open-source fan.)

I've got all the updates, am running ad-aware and a
firewall, and Dell is no help.

Dell told me to run sfc/scannow, but I get the message
"file not found."

I'm unhappy!

Thanks,
Lee

Look at your Font size setting.
Menu:View/Font Size, can you use a smaller font?

You say "No web page fills the screen;..."
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.

It may also be that you are using a Screen Resolution which is not supported
by your video drivers. Reduce it for now.
