Can't view .bmp or .gif

I don't know what happened, but suddenly I can't view
any .bmp or .gif picture files (but I can view .jpg) on
Windows picture viewer.

When I double click on them, picture viewer opens up, but
it is blank. I tried to open those pictures in my Adobe
photoshop too, but the same thing--blank. When I enlarged
it, just a big white space.

These are pics I saved off different websites. I was able
to view them earlier today, so what happened?

In IE6, click on Tools and Internet options.
A window will open. Middle of it, click Delete Files to delete Internet
Temporary files.
This will solve the problem. To prevent this problem. click on the Advanced
tab of this window and navigate down to Security. Check the box"Empty
Temporary ...."
No more problem.
