Can't update to Direct 9.0c

I'm trying to upgrade from 9.0b to 9.0c, but when i run the installer
(both the full redist or the webupdate) it says "The software you are
installing has not passed Windows Logo Testing to verify its
compatibility with Windows XP - This software will not be installed"


What?!?! You download something from Microsoft and it doesn't work with
XP?

Can someone help please?
