Can't uninstall pgrm

I just installed a program called
BounceBack. A backup program. Then "My Computer"
just shows the rotating flashlight continuously. I
tried uninstalling BounceBack from the Control
Panel and then from the Start Menu. Both attempts
result in "program not responding". How can I get
rid of this, apparently, piece of -----. Can I
just delete all mention of it in the registry?
Delete the folder? Then use system restore? Thanks
for help.

Use System Restore!

it likely installed itself
as a service.

sometimes when you see
that the computer is not
responding, it may actually
be because it is very busy and
backups are usually a high
priority for the cpu.

since this is a backup
program, it is likely the backup
software is doing certain processes
to prepare for backing up,
like searching the disk for
files, cataloging, indexing,
compressing, them, etc....

then the software measures
what it finds and calculates
if the backup device can
handle and store the backup
data.

also, if you have anti virals,
the backup prescan is probably being
scanned by your antivirals.

that is why when an event
to backup is initiated the computer
must be totally dedicated to
this service; as any user function
can interfere with the backup
and corrupt the backup data.

in any case and addition
to the other suggestions
you should double check
with the homesite for that
software and ensure there
isn't a special method to
uninstall it or configure it.
