can't turn Windows Messanger off ?!!!

Hi
every time I get connected to the internet Windows Messanger displays this
nag screen asks me for perform some update that I don't want cause I do not
use windows messanger at all (I use the MSN one instead)
I want to stop it from doing this and I don't know how

Hi Karim,

From messenger, click tools/options and you can disable it from loading on
the startup tab. Also be aware that it can be triggered by other programs
that it meshes with, so if it starts up again, look in the options of the
program you just opened.
