Cant stop windows media player running when startup

My windows media player would run automatically when I
restart my computer and it takes long time to load it.
How can I stop it from running by it self when I startup?

Check your programs > startup
files and delete the shortcut if it is there
AND/OR
start > RUN > msconfig

and 'uncheck' the player in the startup selection
