Can't stop windows from loading

Hi,
I have a HP pavilion 513a pc. I am wanting to reformat the drive and re-load
windows but cannot stop windows from loading. Once it loads I can't dismount
the drive either. Can someone tell me how to stop windows from starting up?

You have to set the BIOS to boot from the Windows CD or Recovery CD (if you
have one). If you don't have any CDs then you may have a hidden partition on
your HDD. In either case, you need to consult the instructions that came
with your machine, or, if they are missing, get in touch with HP
