Can't Start Windows 2000 Server With Mirror Disk

Ron Sochanski

Hello. I recently established disk mirroring on a Windows
2000 Server machine, causing one disk to be copied to
another (there are two in the machine). I decided to try
to boot the machine with the mirror. (The boot.ini files
on these disks are identical.) To do this, I powered down
the machine, removed disk 0 from its slot, placed disk 1
in disk 0's slot, and then powered up the machine. The
machine will not boot (i.e., the bootstrap loader does not
appear)! If I reverse the disks again, of course, the
machine boots just fine.

What might the problem be? Any help would be
appreciated! Thank you.

I think you must adjust the jumper in your HD
