as of last night, i am unable to send messages with music file attatchments.
also, intermittingly i can't send any messages at all. i have read some
discussion threads and have tried one solution to other's problems and that
has not fixed my problem.(downoaded http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil) i have read
that some antivirus programs are not compatible with windows mail but i do
not have the ones that have been mentioned so far. can someone help? thanks

i don't have any messages stuck in any files. i also don't believe i am
exceeding any file size limitations, i should be able to send up to 16mb.
the files i have tried to send are less than 4mb. and like i said, up until
yesterday i was not having any problems at all. now, every other message gets
hung up in the outbox. here is the message i get.

Subject ", Account: 'mail.insightbb.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: Ox800ccc19

thanks for your response

Error Number Ox800ccc19 means that communications between
the server and your mail program timed out. Ordinarily that would be
caused by an incompatible antivirus program, but you indicated
yours was compatible; which antivirus is it? Are you running any other
security software such as anti-spam or third party firewall?

I presume that by "hung up in the outbox" you mean that the message
didn't get sent? Are you able to delete everything in the outbox?
Are very small test messages sent without any problems?

i'm guessing it is compatible...it is not the two mentioned in someone else's
problem. i believe you assisted them with their problem.

i run trend micro anti virus 2007. i can delete everything from the out
box. i have had my machine for 2 months and up until yesterday things ran
fine. i also run spy sweeper.

i have been able to send test messages at various times today...but
sometimes they time out as well.

thanks for your help
