can't send mail/incoming works fine

I tried using the links you sent me, doing the telnet thing. it came back
saying it wasn't recognized as an operable function.

How do you change what port it uses??

According to directions your ISP has published:

your mail account settings are correct.

There are two possibilities for the error you are getting.
1. You are sending from a location that is not serviced by
your home ISP (Internet café, etc.).
2. You are using a non-compatible antivirus such as McAfee
