Can't send emails - help!

I'm running Outlook 2002, SP2 on Windows XP and every time
I try to send a message it come back as undeliverable with
the following message..."550 not local host domain.com,
not a gateway" What does this mean? How can I fix it?

You probably need to set up authentication to your outgoing server. To do
so, click on "More Settings..." on your account page and go to the "Outgoing
Server" tab.
