Undeliverable! But only certain emails!

Tina

I'm getting very frustrated! :x I have Outlook 2003 and Windows XP. Whenever I forward a certain type of email (a newsletter from one source, and a link forwarded from another) I immediately get an "email" in my inbox saying it is undeliverable. I've checked Microsoft's knowledge base (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/286106/en-us) but it does not cover my situation. This doesn't come from my ISP. It doesn't get that far. The undeliverable "email" shows up in my inbox, not on my ISP. The message inside says: 550 5.7.1 m46DLijx012817 This message does not comply with required standards.

I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this problem!

That message indicates you are trying to use your ISP's mail server to relay a message sent through another ISP's server. Try setting your authentication to log onto your ISP server before sending mail.

OK, I tried that. Still cannot send those particular emails.

I've been able to send all other emails just fine, but not able to forward these newsletter emails or one of several I received with a simple link. :x

Have you asked your ISP?

Yes. They say it is not their problem. It doesn't even contact my ISP before putting this message in my Inbox. It embeds my email in a message, gives me this error from the "System Administrator", and allows me the option of "Send again" where the send button is.

a) Please, please please please: Quote the entire message. The forum you
are using is a front end to a USENET newsgroup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newsgroups).
I'd recommend using a newsgroup client, like Outlook Express, which is installed
on your system (or Windows Mail, assuming it's Vista) and following the steps
at http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm.

b) Try a different mail client and see what happens with that.

c) Copy in the full text of the message that you get back, redacting out
the email addresses.
