I can receive but can't send email. I get an error message. POP3 an SMTP
have identical info. I"m using outlook express and Verizon broadband access.
Can any one help? thanks

You need two different server addresses from your ISP: the POP3 address (to
receive mail) and the SMTP address (to send mail). Apparently, you are using
your ISP's POP3 address to send mail - for that you need the SMTP address.

Your ISP's web site should have specific instructions on setting up your
mail program.

What's the error message?

:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: '(e-mail address removed) Mail Account', Server:
'smtpauth.earthlink.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0F

Okay, now... Is there a firewall blocking it? Is the service running
properly? Does your ISP need you to configure authentication? Finally, is
there a large file in the out-box that's trying to send as well? Sometimes
you see that with messages that are too large.
