I'm getting the error 0x800CCC79 and cannot send any email using Outlook
Express 6. (I am able to receive emails.) I have checked all settings (with
help of ISP phone support). Everything is fine on that end. I was told it was
a problem with Outlook. I tried troubleshooting instructions on Microsoft
website but had trouble. I was trying to follow directions for "Damaged Mail
Folders" that states "Search your hard drive for Outbox.dbx and delete this
file." I cannot find this file on my hard drive. I don't even know if this is
the problem, but nothing else is working. I tried the authentication thing I
read about in another post but it didn't work.
This problem started 3 days ago - prior to that, I never had a problem.
Coincidentally, we started using a wireless network 3 days ago, which is why
I called my ISP (roadrunner) about this problem... however, after a 1 1/2
hour conversation with them they assure me it isn't them. Any help is
appreicated.

Do you get any other text besides the error code? If so, what is it? That
code means that the recipients to whom you were sending were rejected by
roadrunner's server. The likely cause of this is not authenticating to the
outgoing server - you might want to call roadrunner and ask about how
you're supposed to authenticate.
