Hi

Go to control panel, folder options, view and set check mark against 'use
check boxes to select items'

Not entirely sure what the discussion was but this may help.

The subject doesn't say much. Which methods have you already tried that
don't work?

I have tried all of the "How to" instructions in the help files (click and
hold shift/ctrl etc. Also tried various options in the folder options in the
Control Panel. No matter what I do, it seems that I cannot select more the
one file at a time to move them, copy them, etc. This applies to ALL files
(.txt,.PDF, ETC).

Just taking a SWAG at this... have you installed any, hmm, 3rd party
Explorer utilities or shells?
