can't save on microsoft word

every time i try and save a document on microsoft word it
tells me that my document is password protected. how do
i remove this password so i can save my document.

Maybe by going to a newsgroup that answers questions about Word -
there are several.

This group deals with hardware issues in XP.

Find every instance of normal.dot on your drive
Delete them all. This is the default template for Word.
If it is corrupt in some way, all weird things happen.

When it doesn't find the file, it will create a clean one
automatically.
