Can't resize pictures for e-mail

dama1

I've already tried some of the posted suggestions after the resizing dialog
box quit appearing.
1. Tried regsvr32 shimgvw.dll (several times) with restart.
2. Tried System 32 moving sendmail.dll to an "old file" folder and having it
replaced from backup (several times).
3. Went to add/remove and deleted all the photo editing programs that came
with my new Canon digital camera.
4. Went out in the back yard and yelled at the moon.
Could the sendmail.dll file at the backup source be corrupted? Is there
another "trick" I don't know about? I'm out of options. Any help is
appreciated.

==========================================
Try the following command to
force a reinstall.

Go to...Start / Run and type
(or copy/paste):

regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll
(yes, the space after the 2 and the space
after the i is required)

Press...Enter...

You should see a dialog box that says:
DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shimgvw.dll succeeded

Just wondering...if you open a folder and
go to...Tools / Folder options / File Types...
scroll down to...JPE, JPEG, JPG...under
the File Types column are these listed as
JPEG Image?

===

FWIW...There is a free PowerToy called
ImageResizer...you can download it at
the following link:

http://tinyurl.com/2meyw

After it's installed, you can open any folder
that contains images and you will have an
option to resize. Just right click the selected
image files and choose Resize Pictures.
You can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.

BTW...when resizing if you go to...Advanced
Button / Custom...and enter 640 in each field...
that will be a good size for e-mail purposes.

A simple method is to right click on your photo and select "send to"then
select "mail recipient"
A new window will open and select make smaller
A new email will be opened with the reduced photo attached
If you want to send several photos highlight the photos by holding down ctrl
as you select.
Quite simple really
