Can't rename files, Explorer keeps refreshing!

Hi all, I'm having a hell of a problem on a W2K
workstation. It seems that the Explorer window is auto-
refreshing every 2 seconds, so that if i attempt to rename
a file, the window refreshes before i complete and returns
the filename to what it was before!!

what could it be??!?!

Try stopping Anti-virus and see if thats what is causing it.
