Can't remember password & am the only user

Hi, I can't remember my password to get in from the
welcome window. I am the only user & did not put a hint
in. I am locked out of my computer. I am using another
computer to send this. Help!!??? Thanks, Laura

1.shut down your computer 2.boot your computer and hit

F8 to get into start up options. 3. use safe mode(as
administrator). 4. go to user profiles, remove your
password. you will lose saved passwords, and some
specific preferences, and FILES, however you will have
access to your machine
