Can't receive mail

Peggy

I can send mail but when I try to receive mail I get the following message:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'incoming.xplornet.com', Server:
'incoming.xplornet.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I uninstalled Norton and currently use AVG. I tried to disable the email
scanning but still cannot receive mail. Can you help?

There may be corruption left from Norton in the email account. Try
deleting the email account, restarting Windows Mail, and creating
the email account again.

Are you sure that your POP3 pop.(server name).com
is et properly?
As I see it your POP address should look like this one
pop. (your server name).com
Mine for example is pop.ntlworld.com
and the other is smtp.ntlworld.com
Try to insert equivalents for your server.
