cant read cd's

my cdrw has just gone mad. it cant read any commercial
cd's even autoplay cd's, data discs or audio cd's. it was
still fine and working last night but now, it has really
gone mad. what could be the possible reason and solution
of my problem?

any help is highly appreciated. thank you.

Perhaps its failed?
Does the access light come on?
Does Hardware Devices show a problem?
Try uninstalling the device then rebooting.
Mine just failed so I bought a new one.
