sony cd rw crx100e not working in win2k

hello
we have an older dell p3 758 mhz with win2k and soney cd rw crx100e drive
cannot seem to burn properly? yet all test show good . no device manager
errors so cant make it out, tryed burning from 4 different programs encluding
nero, cd clone , music match and roxio. still no luck, contacted sony told
them the story says no update for driver and is a plug and play type, ? so
the cdrom plays music when puttin in cd no problems there , can load programs
no problem there, just problem with burning , tryed different types of cds
eg. sony, memorex and another no name brand, can someone help me here , oh by
the way the cdrw worked fine with win98 thinking just not campatible with
win2k but no listing found not even on the xp hlc list

In that case, the drive has failed. The only way to repair it is to
replace the drive.

Try to reinstall Windows, or, to test your drive on another machine, also,
make shure that your drive is clean.
