Can't reach safe mode?

I have tried to get into safe mode but can't. I have tried rebooting &
pressing key at correct time, & pressing as little taps, & having key
held down at all time & in every instance safe mode options just pass
by. Any ideas?

Some mobos require F5 rather than F8 to enter safe mode

START button|RUN. Type...

msconfig <enter>

Under the BOOT.INI tab, checkmark Safeboot. Reboot.

When done, UNcheck the BOOT.INI item and reboot.

Safe Mode is a Windows function and not a motherboard function.

Safe Mode is a Windows function and not a motherboard function.

I could not reach safe mode using either F5 or F8. I eventually got in
using the tick mark in MSCONFIG. It didn't work one in. I could not
change file name or delete files that didn't want to be deleted.
