Can't print from notepad

Hi,
I just did a complete clean install of my XP MCE and noticed that when I try to print from Notepad.exe I get this
message: Handle is invalid.

I can still print from MS Word so it must be something to do with that program?

Have a good day,

In Notepad, try File - Page Setup and click on the Printer button. Are
any printers listed to choose from?
If no joy, go to Printers and Faxes in Control Panel and either add a
printer or make sure that the printer that MS Word is using is selected
as the default.

Hi Bill,
It shows the same printer as Word which is my default printer. Tried it again got the same results.
I also tried the Fax printer and got the same error message.
It was worth a try. Don't know what else it could be?

Hi Again Bill,
I just went to the Microsoft data base and found these answers but none of them apply to Notepad but am including them
in case they have something valuable:
