Whenever I try to print an email or print something directly from the Internet I go to “file†up on the toolbar and then select “print†I get one of those "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" windows. Also if I go to “start†then “settings†and choose “printers and faxes†I get the same message from Windows Explorer. Anything I need to print I have to put into a word doc and print it from there. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Thank you.

Hi Susan,

This error is probably caused by the printer driver. Try updating/reinstalling it. To further drill-down the cause, use this method from Ronnie Vernon, MVP:

<>
You might want to go to Start/Run and type: eventvwr.msc and press
OK. In the event Viewer, click on each of the items in the left side
menu and look for any Red X error messages that correspond to the last
time this behavior happened. Double click the entry to see the details
of the error. This may give you a clue as to program/hardware is causing
the problem. Click the Copy Icon on the right side of the details dialog
and paste the results back in a reply here.
