Cant play videos like news

Cant download videos like news etc:
It wants to save to disk or save from location
I want to click on something and play automatically do i
have to change something in windows? Have 2000 pro

If the file is a downloadable then it will prompt you to save it. You can
click OPEN instead of save and it will download the file then open it for
you. If its streaming media then it will open without asking you to download
it. (though it downloads/buffers the streaming media in the bankground)

It doesnt give you option to open;\\
I think i have people confused Example:
I want to watch a sporting event i click on it it says to
save to disc. does not say to save. Simply all video you
click on it and it goes. I have windows media so my
question is how do i get that box off screen so it does
not pop up anymore?

Perhaps it can't be viewed in WMP. The site itself should tell you what kind
of player/software you need....
