Can't Open Windows Firewall

I can't open my windows firewall. I get this error message "Due to an
unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings."

Any suggestions?

I have Win XP Home Edition, McAfee Spamkiller and McAfee Viruscan.

Hey I don't know if this will work but I use Zonealarm from
www.zonelabs.com. It is the best firewall I have ever used and it's easy to
use, after that just turn windows firewall off. Recommended. Hope that
helps you

First, eliminate Malware from the system.

Then to reinstate the Windows Firewall, see here:
