CANT OPEN UP WORD DOCUMENTS IN VISTA

i just bought a computer with ista home premium and now i cant open any
documents i created with my windows xp system . can any one help

Do you have Office installed on the new computer? Documents are
created/viewed/edited in Word which is part of Office, not by the operating
system (Windows XP or Vista).
