can't open some files after I reinstaled windows xp home

After I reinstaled windows many of my files located in my documents didn't
open.
for example:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Pictures\Mis Fotos (owner
was my username before reinstalling)
the files in the folder My Pictures works fine, but the files in Mis Fotos
and in another subfolders don't, when i dobleclick them, Windows Picture And
Fax Viewer opens (only for the pictures), but says no preview available. and
when i try to open it with photoshop or paint, it give me a message of: file
exist, but must be corrupt.; or, access is denied. Is the same in other
folders inside My Documents.
what could had happened?
