Can't open PST anymore!...

I had a PST file (300 megabytes) which opened fine but suddenly, under
Windows XP, it is having problems opening. I get the following 2 error
messages:

(1) "Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use"

(2) "The file ..... is not a personal folders file"

The file is still 300 megabytes so the data is still there - but why cannot
I open it?? What should I do?

Have you tried repairing the pst file with scanpst??

I had something similar happen, try going to the file properties. See if the read only box is checked, if it is, uncheck it. It worked for me.
