PST file not readable

John

I have a large PST file (over 300 megabytes) containing
my email. It has always worked fine. The other day, when
I tried to open it, I got the message "This information
service must be configured prior to use" or something
along those lines... and Outlook wouldnt open it. I also
got the message "This file is not a PST file" even though
it is. I NEED to be able to open it... the data is
still all there (according to the file size)... what
should I do... please e-mail ma at (e-mail address removed).
Much appreciated.

John

Scan the pst-file with scanpst.exe for errors. If there are no errors in it
recreate your mailprofile in Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles.

If there are errors in it and the could be repaired; open Outlook again to
see whether it works normally now.
