Can't open .pps file from WM

Box -field- panel (we)
I open EMail by clicking on the MSN icon (where 'Start' used to be) and
E-Mail is the 2nd icon from the top.
I mentioned the Vista64 because I downloaded 'IE7 for 64 bit' from MS, and
when I tried to install it said it's not compatible with my OS.
Just looking for a little help here.

The Windows Mail shortcut you can edit is found by going to
Start, All Programs, then right-click on "Windows Mail".

When you downloaded 'IE7 for 64 bit' , was IE8 already installed?
It doesn't work that way. IE8 must be removed via the approved Microsoft
procedure, which will automatically bring IE7 back:
