cant open outlook2003 says default e-mail folders file c..pst is n

says unable to open default email folders file C:/Documents and
settings/alison/local Settings/Application Data/
microsoft/Outlook/Outlook.pst is not a personal folders file

I had made a backup cd just before and tried to view what was on the cd but
cant open file outlook pst or archive pst o to see if the backup was
correct.Now i cant get into outlook at all.it has been working fine for about
1 year.Thanks,Alison

Copy the backup to your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute. In
Control Panel's Mail applet, add the PST to the mail profile and make it
your delivery location. See if you can start Outlook then.
