can't open or save PDF or ZIP files

I have tried everything I know to do. I cannot open or
save pdf or zip files. Nor can I e-mail any saved
documents. Why is this and how do I fix it?
 
And you have an Acrobat and PKzip app installed?
The error msg/s is/are?
