Can't open multiple IE windows

Whenever I try to open a second or subsequent IE window, I
get an error box saying "Microsoft Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience." Then the bottom of the error
says "If you were in the middle of something the
information you were working on may be lost. Please tell
Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error
report that you can send to help us improve Microsoft
Internet Explorer. We will treat this report as
confidential and annoymous. To see what data this error
report contains, click here".

Have you installed SP1? It sounds like a supplemental
file IE6 files have been corrupted. I would reinstall IE6
and SP1. Check your ram and make sure that you have
enough memory free. My personal experience (I do PC
support) has been no lower than 55-60% to run
effectively. Also this could happen if you are running
low on hard drive space, windows may not have enough room
to create the cache. You might want to go to IE6, Tools,
Internet Options, on the general tab delete cookies,
delete files, then restart your computer. If that doesn't
fix it, I go with reinstall.
