Can't open multiple IE windows..the new one closes the last one

As of this morning, my computer will now allow more than
one IE window up, if I try to open a new one - it closes
the preceding page so that there is only one IE window up.
Thoughts?

Tools \ internet options \ advanced
clear "reuse windows for launching shortcuts".
apply and okay your way out, reboot
