Please, please can someone help?
I am tryinh to open some links on a mail sent to me so
that I can register a domain name.
I have been trying different things for over a week to no
avail.
It tries to load the new page, stops and then says "this
page cannot be displayed"The domain company have opened
the link ok and have even sent me screenshots.
I have disabled the firewall, set all security features
to low levels and even installed Netscape as I thought
that may help(i was advised to do this as Bonzi buddy was
installed a year ago and this can stop links opening in
Exploer?
I have even done a ststem restore and still no good. I am
now at my wits end.
anyone?

Hi,

Close any instances of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.

Start/run "regsvr32 urlmon.dll"
Start/run "regsvr32 softpub.dll"

Go to the Control Panel/Internet Options/Programs tab, click on 'reset all
web settings'

Retry the links.

Thanks Rik,
but Unfortunately this below did not work. Any further
ideas anyone. Please help!

Hi Nigel,

Check the HOSTS file for any references to those sites. You can open it in
notepad and remove any mention of the site by IP or name. You will find it
under:

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

Just right-click it and select "open with". Do not set it to "always open".
