Can't open jpg or bmp files in Outlook attachments

..I am using Outlook 2003.
I can't open jpg or .bmp files in Outlook attachments. I have to save it to
a folder and then open it in the folder.
Does anybody know how this can be resolved?

What happens if you try? What error messages do you get?

"Can not import the clipboard because Adobe Photo Deluxe does not recognize
the file extension".

And the file definitely has a .jpg extension?
When you double-click on a saved jpeg file, does Adobe Photo Deluxe launch?

Yes
The file is a .jpg and when I double-click on a saved jpeg file, Adobe
Photo Deluxe does NOT launch.

OK - then you have a problem with your file associations somewhere, and it's
probably due to the Adobe software not functioning properly. If you don't
use it, uninstall it....and try again.
