can't open IE

I can't open IE from my desktop. However, I can open it
through control panel and clicking on one of my
favorites. I have been told this is a profile issue as
the other users on my account can open IE. Can you
provide infor on how to correct my profile?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
