cant open files

every time i try to open a file using email attachment or
send a file with icq or change my picture on msn
messenger, the whole software closes down. and i have to
reopen it. i have chencked for viruses using many
different checkers. i have the security patches on. i
have good security on my pc and have checked for open
ports etc. im stuck now. any ideas??? thanx

maybe your security is too good, check outlook options
for allowing attachments. or firewall problems with
sending.

i deleted all the files in the pics folder and now all
is fine. i had checked for viruses in there specifically.
so no idea wot was going off!!
