Can't open Favorites or Hyperlinks

I accidently loaded Netscape recently (from a
Quicken/Intuit e-mail ad) - then, when trying to access a
Favorite Place, I got a message saying that it couldn't
find the server. I got rid of Netscape (I think) but now
Favorite Places don't work, nor do hyperlinks in incoming
e-mails. Ideas?
