can't open drive C from My computer

Hello:

I had a virus in my computer recently and I had to reset all the
programs. It all seemed normal and the virus seems to have gone away.
Now I try to open the Drive C by clicking on it but it only opens
another window that asks me to choose a program to open the file. It's
the same thing if I try to open a flash drive directly clicking on the
icon in My computer folder. Can someone tell me what I can do to
solve it?

Thanks a million

"Seems to have gone away",virus(s) dont just exit the pc on thier own,run
anti-virus software,&/or download windows defender from microsoft, when it
starts its quick scan, stop it,open scanning options icon, select full
scan.With the
my computer problem, open a new user account,if all runs ok,the old account
is corrupted,delete it.

You might try running the Drive Association Fix available from
this web site.

Scroll down the page and click on Drive. Save the zip folder to
a handy location. Once you've extracted the contents, run the
registry fix. Hopefully, it will fix the problem.

Good luck
