opening my c drive

i have a problem when opening my c drive from the desktop. when i click the
my computer icon it opens correctly but once it opens wheni double click any
icon iside i automatically get a search window, and when i right clkick
seacrh is the first thing on the sub menu then open then xplore... etc..
how do i fix this ? it is really frustrating trying open my c drive thanks
