Can someone explain why I cannot open 2 webs at the same time?

When I try to open the 2nd one I get the Hour-glass and the system seems to
hesitate but not open.

I have a P4 3.0GHZ with 1GB of memory and plenty of disk. Am running XP
Home.

Thanks,

I tried to do this manually but the whole system starts to flicker and the
second instance hangs. I have to close it with ctrl-alt-del to get back to
normal.

Could be a number of reasons:

How much RAM does the machine have, how much free disk space, how long since you cleared
out the temp files, and so on??

You would need two sessions of Frontpage open at once. You can't open
multiple webs, but you can open multiple html files within that one web.

Frontpage is simply not designed to open multiple webs.

Nonsense

FP can and does open multiple webs as multiple sessions of FP
